Why Become a Member

Renewable Northwest (RNW) is the region’s only organization solely focused on advancing clean energy infrastructure. We’re member driven, and our influence is built on the direct expertise of our 90+ member organizations, including the leading renewable energy, storage, and transmission developers.

Influence

RNW members gain access to trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, and utilities, ensuring member priorities are heard. RNW’s proven advocacy team is active in key state and regional proceedings every day, representing members and advancing clean energy opportunities.

Expertise

Members benefit from RNW’s policy and technical staff, along with deep expertise in regulatory and policy matters, markets, transmission, interconnection, and siting – paired with timely intelligence on regional renewable energy and storage developments. RNW helps members navigate the technical, political, and environmental challenges of bringing projects online.

Engagement

Membership includes regular calls with staff, written updates and analysis, and one-on-one coordination to align strategies. Members also build relationships across the industry through multiple in-person events a year including our flagship fall retreat at Skamania Lodge in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. When members raise a need, we respond – adding update calls or forming new work groups to match what matters in the region.
