Kyle engages utilities, state legislatures, commissions, and coalitions to facilitate responsible development of transmission and generation. He is a founding board member of the Montana Energy Business Alliance and Idaho Energy Freedom. As a staunch promoter of transmission and markets, Kyle helps steer and champion the WestTEC, regional RA programs, and prudent utility planning. Before joining Renewable Northwest, Kyle worked for NorthWestern Energy where he analyzed market options, quantified use of the transmission system in peak periods, and modeled flex ramp capability required to balance wind and solar. Kyle also spent ten years growing university research enterprises at the University of Montana and University of Colorado Boulder. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys playing music, biking and exploring the beautiful PNW with his family.
