Executive Leadership Transition & Next Steps

A Note from RNW Board Chair, David Bobzien

As we look toward the future of our organization, I am writing to share an update regarding our executive leadership transition plan and the path ahead.

First and foremost, I want to express our profound gratitude to Nicole for her exceptional leadership, dedication, and lasting impact as Executive Director. While Nicole had originally announced plans to step down on October 1st, we are incredibly grateful that she decided to extend her tenure through December 31, 2026. Her willingness to remain in her role ensures continuity, stability, and a seamless handover for our staff, partners, and community.

I want to reassure you that our organization remains fully focused on advancing our mission and serving our members throughout this transition. Our day-to-day operations, program delivery, and strategic initiatives will continue without interruption, supported by our talented staff and robust organizational foundation.

To lead our search for our next Executive Director, the Board has partnered with Clover Search Works, an executive search firm with specialized expertise in nonprofit and energy leadership transitions. Together with our Search Committee, they will guide an inclusive, comprehensive, and rigorous recruitment process.

Our search will launch in September and is calendared to align with the conclusion of Nicoles’s RNW tenure. Nicole’s extended presence provides us with the time and space to execute this search thoughtfully and deliberately while keeping our mission moving forward. We will share key milestones with you as the process unfolds.

Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to our mission.
