Anne Hedges is the Executive Director for the Montana Environmental Information Center where she has worked for nearly three decades. MEIC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the land, air, water, and life-sustaining climate of Montana. MEIC advocates, educates, and empowers people in service of a clean and healthful environment for present and future generations. For the past two decades she has focused primarily on the climate crisis and the need for a swift and just transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.

Anne received her B.S. in environmental policy analysis and planning from the University of California at Davis and a Master’s of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
