Southeast of Boise and east of Kuna at the intersection of Cloverdale Rd. and Barker Rd. in Ada County, ID.
Origis Energy's 40 MWac (55.37 MWdc) Boise Solar Farm became operational on 9/15/2016.
Originally approved on 11/14/14 as the Boise City Solar project of Sunergy World and Intermountain Energy Partners in partnership with City of Boise. The project was later sold to Origis Energy and moved prior to the start of construction and renamed Boise Solar Farm.
Original location was to be on city-owned land near Boise airport. The project was then planned to be located on city property at the south end of Cloverdale Road, as noted in the approved PURPA sales agreement with Idaho Power. Then the project was sold to Origis Energy and the project site was changed again, moving north to the intersection of Cloverdale Road and Narker Road. (Location confirmed with Google Earth.)
The 582-acre photovoltaic solar facility spans two jurisdictions ‚Äî 220 acres is within Kuna city limits and 362 acres is in unincorporated Ada County.
