Notes:
Pattern Energy's Stillwater Wind is a 79.75 MW QF project. The project is located in Stillwater County, approximately eleven miles north of Reed Point. It will include 31 Siemens Gamesa turbines (Five 2.3MW turbines and 23 2.625MW turbines) and was completed in November 2018. Pattern Energy has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement for 100% of the energy produced. (NorthWestern Energy will purchase the power at $37.63 per megawatt hour.) During each year of operations, the 79.75 MW facility will generate energy equal to the needs of more than 23,000 Montana homes. Construction of the project created approximately 80 jobs within the local and regional communities and will employ approximately six full-time personnel during operations. The two construction contractors responsible for construction of the Stillwater Wind project, Dick Anderson Construction and EPC Services Company, are both headquartered in Montana. Over the first 25 years of the facility's operational life it is expected to produce more than $18 million in tax revenue. The local county will also receive impact fee payments over the first three years, in addition to royalty payments to participating landowners. (Stillwater Wind was originally developed by WKN under the name Vivaldi Springtime Wind Project.) It was known in previous incarnations as Project Vivaldi, WKN Vivaldi II, and Reed Point Wind. News of the project being shelved from a mention by John Huser in this article: http://lastbestnews.com/site/2014/12/huge-wind-farm-near-bridger-breaks-ground-thursday/ Also, when BayWa r.e. bought a 70% interest in WKN Windkraft's North American operations, the Project Vivaldi project was no longer listed as being under development. Was originally a 100MW project, then expanded to a 396 MW project. Fianlly scaled back down to an 80MW QF project under the name Vivaldi Springtime Wind Project. Original project info below. _____ German wind developer WKN Windkraft Nord AG could place as many as 132 Vestas V112 3-megawatt turbine towers across 22,000 acres of private land about 15 miles north of Reed Point. Have a signed interconnection agreement with NorthWestern Energy. "Trucks will enter at Springtime Road off I-90 and exit through Reed Point." http://www.stillwatercountynews.com/archive/2011/week%204/story1.html
