Montana Wind Farm Property Tax Summary 2006-2017

According to the Montana Department of Commerce, from 2006-2017 it is estimated that Montana wind farms contributed approximately $66 million in total property taxes.

According to the report, Montana wind farms have averaged $8.5 million annually in estimated property taxes since 2013. The report illustrates how wind projects in seven Montana counties are making significant property tax contributions in the state.
