NRDC Summarizes FERC's Rejection of Coal/Nuclear Bailout

Today, the Natural Resources Defence Council (NRDC) published on their Experts Blog a clear summary of the rejection by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)  of the Proposed Rule on Grid Reliability and Resilience Pricing. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Rick Perry’s Proposed Rule was widely seen as an attempt to subsidize the coal and nuclear power industries on a weak argument that they provide need resiliency to the electric grid. NRDC's article provides a great overview of the issue and why FERC rejected the Proposed Rule.
